Charles & Camilla Collectibles Heating Up

Many companies that produce souvenirs of celebrity events decided not to do much for the upcoming royal wedding, saying they anticipated "little interest" in the items--but interest has escalated since the couple announced a date change for the event.

The wedding has been pushed forward to Saturday, April 9th, so that Charles can attend the funeral of Pope John Paul II in Rome. Camilla will not accompany him to the funeral. Collectors are now buying every item they can find with the wrong date on it, hoping the error and the scarcity will increase values.

Camilla's engagement ring is said to be a platinum and diamond Art Deco era ring once owned by the Queen Mother, but the couple's wedding rings are being made according to royal tradition.
