Sapphire Pendants
Monday August 15, 2005
Sapphires are members of the corundum family of minerals and they exist in a rainbow of colors--just about anything except red, because that color of the gem is always a ruby. Rubies and sapphires are found throughout the world, including the United States, where the colors aren't always deep and the clarity isn't usually sparkling, but it's definitely fun to search for them at a ruby mine.
Sapphire is the September birthstone, but the gem is a universal favorite among people born any time of year. You're sure to find something that you can't do without in this collection of sapphire pendants.
