Looking Back at Last Year's Oscars

For the most part, I liked the vintage look on the stars at last year's Academy Awards presentations. There were a few gowns that appeared a little difficult to navigate in -- like something you'd see on a 1958 Barbie. They added to the old-Hollywood glamour look, but from a different era than most of the more simple, flowing gowns. Jewelry was mostly understated, but elegant, with white and colorful diamonds on lots of ears. It's fun to take a peek back before the new ceremonies are held, and then watch to see if the same look is still it, or totally over.
