Special Four Cs of Color Diamonds
Wednesday November 7, 2007
The approaching winter holidays are a prime-time for engagements. Jewelry stores are already bustling with engagement ring sales -- and answering all of the questions prospective grooms have about choosing the best ring (clue: there is no best ring). White diamonds are the number one engagement ring choice, but there are plenty of women who want to wear something more colorful. Ruby and sapphire are two popular alternatives, and they're often mixed with white diamonds. You could consider buying her a ring that's set with a fancy color diamond, either alone or with white diamond accents. One thing though -- choosing a color diamond is somewhat different than choosing a white diamond -- they have their own special set of Four Cs. If price is a major consideration -- and it is for most people -- start your search with the understanding that a (natural) color diamond can cost significantly more than its white relative. Shop around, because prices do vary.More Color Diamonds
