A Love Affair with Hats

Sarah Jessica Parker and Paris Hilton don't seem to have much in common, but they both caught the hat bug on recent trips to England. Ms. Parker wore a floral Philip Treacy hat to the premiere of Sex and the City, and Paris Hilton topped off her head-to-toe white ensemble with a quirky hat for the introduction of her new fragrance, Can-Can. Both of their hats were mild in comparison to some of the headwear seen around England each spring. Royal Ascot is always packed with whimsical hats, and hats on women at the Chelsea Flower Show range from subdued to out-there. In the United States, women don sunhats for the Kentucky Derby, but we don't have nearly as much fun with them as our European neighbors.
