Sundial Pendant Necklace
Thursday December 18, 2008
I love the blend of colors and textures in this pewter and bronze pendant. The piece is a replica of a sundial ring given to King Henry II by Eleanor of Aquitaine in 1152. Celtic knots surround a portion of the curved edges and the original inscription, carpe diem, or seize the day, is on the smooth inside surface. The pendant's mechanism reads the time of day by registering the angle of the sun's rays to the earth.Aquitaine Sundial Pendant Necklace: Buy Direct

This is a really neat looking piece! I love finding unique jewelry. My favorite spot lately has been All Wired Up. They use many rare gems I’m not used to seeing. Plus everything is hand made using eco-friendly materials! You can check them out at http://www.allwiredupjewelry.com.
