Jewelry at the BET Awards
Tuesday June 30, 2009
Held just a few days after Michael Jackson's death, it wasn't surprising to see the BET Awards converted into a tribute for the King of Pop and his music. BET Awards jewelry was dramatic, and circular motifs were among the most popular trends. Amerie's big-link necklace is one of my personal favorites, and I like the goth-and-heart piece that Elise Neal wore.

I am a little in dismay at the fact that in the topic of Anniversary gifts the first years you have ivory in it. I understand that it is a tradition; however, in Alaska clubbing baby seals is a tradition! There was NO explanation where ivory comes from! You do say that Ivory is protected – can’t you give a small little reason why it’s protected? Instead of some sort of nonchalant excerpt. Same with the coral, isn’t the environment important enough to give a tiny piece of education? Wouldn’t you like to see our dwindling population of Elephants make a come back? Isn’t Ivory protected everywhere? NEW Ivory pretty much only appears on the black market.
Thanks,
I believe most people know about the abuse of ivory hunters, but I do include links to educational sites that explain the problem:

But thank you – I should write an article about the issue.
goth-and-heart piece necklace is amazing . I really loved the design, I feel such designs add to the personality. I also love antique jewelry.
