Citizen Watch Company of America has introduced the Stiletto collection, which they call the world's thinnest light-powered watch. There are ten models in the collection, with retail prices starting at $240 for a stainless steel model to $3,500 for a limited edition platinum and crocodile-strap Stiletto. The new collection was originally designed for men, but its sleek profile is suitable for women, too.

A Stiletto measures just 4.3 millimeters in total thickness, and Citizen predicts that it will be a hit. The company feels the watch market is ready to turn away from chunky styles in favor of accessories that are more formfitting.

Stiletto's solar cell continuously recharges itself through any natural or artificial light source. The Stiletto is water-resistant and has a 180-day power reserve.

The core of the Stiletto collection features rectangular-faced watches in stainless steel, gold-tone and two-tone styles. Models will be available in three dial colors (white, blue and black), with Roman numerals at each corner (3, 6, 9, 12). The crystal is made of sapphire glass. The core collection will range in price from $240 to $400.

Citizen is also offering Stiletto in precious metals. A limited edition of 250 individually numbered watches with a platinum case and genuine crocodile straps will be available for $3,500. An 18-karat gold Stiletto will sell for $2,000. The platinum and gold models will come in a rosewood box that can be used as a jewelry box.
