Turquoise bracelets are a popular look this year, especially traditional styles. When you shop, remember that most turquoise in today's jewelry has been treated in some way. A good portion of it has been stabilized to make it more durable, and some turquoise has been color enhanced. You'll also find reconstituted turquoise -- stones made by mixing turquoise chips with resins and then forming nuggets and other shapes from the mix. There's nothing wrong with treatments -- they allow jewelry makers to offer turquoise at affordable prices, but treatments should always be disclosed.
Silver, Turquoise & Blue Topaz Bracelet
This traditional cuff bracelet is made from antiqued sterling silver set with a turquoise cabochon at its center. Pearl and blue topaz radiate outward from the center turquoise.
Silver Cuff Bracelet with Stabilized Turquoise
Three greenish-blue stabilized turquoise cabochons -- one larger stone flanked by smaller side stones -- are set into a textured sterling silver cuff.
Turquoise and Quartz Bracelet - 'Blue Forest'
Novica offers handcrafted items from around the world, and the jewelry from this artisan, Busarin, is among my personal favorites. Busarin threads turquoise beads onto stainless steel strands, mingling them with glass and quartz.
Turquoise bracelet, 'Soul Mirror'
Another find from Novica, this classic polished sterling silver bracelet by Wayan Asmana features a single turquoise set at its center.
