Kate Middleton Engagement Ring
November 16, 2010Prince William and Kate Middleton formally announced their engagement today. Kate's engagement ring is Princess Diana's 18 carat blue sapphire and diamond ring, given to Diana by Prince Charles when the two became engaged in 1981.
William and Kate have dated for eight years, with much speculation from the press about when, not if, they would become engaged. William is said to have proposed to Kate during a trip to Kenya. Watch for a Royal wedding in the spring or summer of 2011.
