Designer Jewelry on the Golden Globes Red Carpet

Diamonds and platinum crossed the red carpet in a steady stream at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards, but colorful gems made an appearance, too, some vivid and others in pastel shades.

Long earrings were a hit at the Golden Globes, and although the majority were fashioned from white diamonds and platinum, many celebs used other gemstones to add a splash of color to their ensembles.

Some jewelry and gowns worn to the event were auctioned for Haiti relief, and a Chrysler 300C that celebrities autographed on arrival was auctioned for the same purpose. The multi-color ribbons celebrities wore (Gabourey Sidibe's is a good example) showed support for the rescue and relief operations in Haiti.
