Who is Rosalina Lydster?:
Rosalina Lydster was born in Vietnam, where her mother was a well known jeweler who outfitted celebrities and dignitaries until the family moved to San Francisco in the 1980's. Rosalina inherited her mother's love of jewelry and learned the skills that were needed to make a design come to life.
Education and Past Career:
Rosalina studied at San Francisco State University and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. She had a full time career as in investment banker with a Wall Street firm before designing jewelry full time.
The Birth of Jewelry by Rosalina:
While still in the banking business, Rosalina started a part time business, designing wedding bands and other jewelry for friends and associates. By 2001 it became apparent that her heart was in the jewelry--Jewelry by Rosalina was officially formed.
The progression to full time designer seems like a natural event for someone who grew up in the jewelry business, always surrounded and inspired by metals and gemstones.
Charitable Work:
Rosalina helps support several charities, including the San Francisco Ballet, the Banyan Society, the American Cancer Society and the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada.
