Heart pendants are classic, and a type of jewelry that never goes out of style. Lots of people collect heart jewelry, so you might think that duplication would be a problem. It isn't, because a vast array of designs are available. The pendants in this collection are sorted by price to help you stay within your budget. You'll find numerous selections in each price category, from trendy hearts to very traditional styles.

1. Heart Pendants Under $25

I think you'll find something you like in this collection of heart pendants priced under-$25. Prices are across the range, but many are in the $10-12 category. Most hearts are traditional, but some put a twist on tradition, like the sterling silver heart illustrated to the left. The collection is mostly made up of sterling silver hearts and gold-plated hearts. Some are embellished with small gemstones or glass crystals. Check to make sure if a chain is included in the price (most common) or if it must be ordered separately.

2. Heart Pendants Priced from $25 to $50

Blue Nile
Adding dollars to the top price adds several types of heart pendants to the mix, including necklaces with dual pendants like the contemporary sterling hearts shown here. Traditional hearts with keys are included, and there are a few heart pendants designed with multiple chains. Also look for hearts that include small crystals in colors to match family members' birthstones. Diamond chips are used on a few. Metals in this category are still primarily sterling silver and gold plate.

3. Heart Pendants Priced from $50 to $75

Red Envelope
This pretty breast cancer awareness heart is one example of the expanded styles you'll find in this heart pendant price range. Look for more 14K gold examples, and for hearts adorned with pearls or gemstones. The collection includes a few heart lariats, too.

4. Heart Pendants Priced from $75 to $100

Look for quite a few stylized hearts in this assortment, including the black enamel design in the illustration. While there are still plenty of traditional heart pendants, most are either more intricate or laced with gemstones and small diamonds. Venetian glass is used in some, resulting in designs that mix trends with tradition.

5. Heart Pendants Priced from $100 to $150

Ross-Simons
Larger hearts, more intricate designs, larger and more gemstones -- all of those terms describe the changes as you move into this heart pendant price category. One choice is the puffy heart illustrated, made with 14K white gold and adorned with pave set diamond accents. The styles within this collection are diverse.

6. Heart Pendants Priced from $150 to $200

Diamonds stand out in this collection -- not large stones, but enough small diamonds to make a show, and often combined with colored gemstones. Heart styles vary. Some are double-heart designs, and while the diamond-laced versions tend to be delicate, a portion of the styles are made from chunkier pieces of gold or sterling silver. The assortment includes hearts embellished with personal photos.
