Designer Jewelry Trends at 2011 Country Music Awards Events

Two annual country music awards events were held just a day apart (both in Nashville, Tennessee) in late November, 2011 -- the BMI Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards. I've chosen ten photos that offer a glimpse of the designer jewelry trends we saw on both red carpets. Chandelier and pendant earrings were popular, as always, and color remains an important trend overall. But black and white diamonds are always a key look at any red carpet event, and were on many necks, fingers, wrists and earlobes.

On November 8, 2011, Nicole Kidman walked the BMI red carpet with hubby Keith Urban. Nicole wore a Stella McCartney gown, and accessorized her ensemble with with vintage jewels from Fred Leighton, including a pair of jade and platinum Art Deco earrings and a ruby, onyx and diamond ring.

The next night, at the CMA Awards, Nicole Kidman wore a strapless gown accented by a platinum and diamond floral tiered choker, circa 1930, from Fred Leighton.
